Before you sell China
How long can visa-free clients stay in China, and can they extend?
Unilateral and most mutual-exemption entries allow up to 30 days per entry for tourism, business, family visits or transit. Visa-free stays cannot be extended inside China, so trips longer than 30 days need a visa before departure.
What happens to visa-free entry after 31 December 2026?
For most unilateral countries the published end date is 31 December 2026. China has renewed the scheme each year so far, usually in November. Mutual-exemption countries such as the UAE, Qatar, Malaysia and Thailand are not affected. For 2027 departures we quote with the entry route stated and update you the day a decision is announced.
How does the 240-hour transit work for US or Indonesian clients?
Eligible nationals can stay up to 10 days without a visa if they arrive through a designated port and fly on to a third country or region. Travel is limited to permitted provinces, so we design the routing to keep every leg within the rules.
My clients are Indian. How hard is the China visa now?
Simpler than before. Applications start online, the fee for Indian passport holders is reduced until 31 December 2026, and online applications filed since 23 October 2026 carry no visa-centre service fee. We provide the itinerary and hotel confirmations each applicant needs.
Can my clients pay for things in China with foreign cards?
Yes. Alipay and WeChat Pay both accept linked international cards, and major hotels and malls take cards directly. Our pre-departure notes walk travellers through setup.
Do you work with direct travellers?
No. Vb China DMC is B2B only: travel agencies, tour operators, incentive houses and corporate planners. If you are travelling to China yourself, your own travel agent can contact us on your behalf.
